Trying to keep the faith

I am still in shock and numb over the news of the Russian boy returned to Russia on a one way ticket with a note by his adoptive mother.I can not even grasp the idea that a mother can think about doing that! This little boy is from the same region as our little B. This incident has Russian officials outraged and want to suspend all adoptions to US families.I have literally felt sick and grief to think what this may mean for us.We are soo close to a court date! Please pray for all families effected by this and the children who have loving families waiting to bring them home. I wanted to share some good news but, now we will have to wait and see. This is just so hard!

That is the most ridiculous story I've heard in a long time. What was she thinking?! I just can't believe someone could do that and not think there would be repercussions for herself, but also for all other waiting PAP's.
Hope the good news comes with hte bad for you!

It is a very shocking story indeed. So sorry to hear it's your same region--they will be justifiably upset there. But still keeping a hopeful heart for you and your little boy. I hope they will see that the one mother in this case doesn't represent all mothers.

I thought of you when they were talking about freezing Russian adoptions. I will be keeping you guys in my prayers that your adoption continues to go forward.

Corrine, I'd love to be able to talk to you as we're in the same region hoping for a court date. I too am trying to hope that our cases will still proceed forward.

Thinking of you... hoping for the best that this will be a very brief delay for your family. LOTS of people are pouring their hearts out trying to show that there are so many loving families in the US. I am praying this will make a difference in the mids of the Russian officials.

Hello Corrine,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I'd would love to connect with you sometime. Simi is not a big town. It's pretty cool to run into someone from the blog community who live in the same town.

Good thoughts your way in regards to the Russian adoption situation. I was so outraged about the news and was tempted to get a ticket to Tennessee to give my thoughts to that heartless woman!
